Change Doesn't Happen In Life Without Effort Put Forth

Updated on July 21, 2014

Changes in Your Life

Changes, some people like change and then there are those that are happy with the way their life is at that moment in time and wish not to change anything, which is fine, if your life is exactly the way you want it to be. Are you content and happy the way you are living your life or can you do something and make it better?

Change doesn't happen in life without effort put forth. As I continue to write about life and many lives that are stricken by an addiction to alcohol, I must say that if I didn't make a change in my life I would still be cracking open the beers every single day and night, and of course would not be sitting here writing to help others change their lives for the better if they are addicted to this horrible addiction to alcohol.

I sit here each night writing on this topic, and continue to think of how I could help those that are addicted to alcohol and help them change their life as I did through my own experiences.

I wonder what can I do or what can I say to put this point across to the people that need and want help to change their life around for the better.

Also, if you wish to change your life for the better, it will not just happen out of the blue without some effort on your part. Anything good in life takes hard work and determination to make it happen in a positive way.

As for me, my life change is great and I want in the worse way for many others that are suffering with an addiction to alcohol to be able to change their lives and see just how life can be living it clean and sober and to have long term sobriety back into their life.

So no matter what you want to accomplish in life, whether it be being successful in your career or being able to achieve sobriety in your life it all has to do with changing your ways and thinking positive and by doing so you will indeed achieve anything, including sobriety.

Change for anyone is a good thing I think. It tends to get somewhat boring if you are doing the same old thing day after day, month after month. As far as changing from being an alcoholic to a person that is clean and sober, now that's something to be very proud of, as I am of myself. I am also proud of anyone that has conquered their addiction to alcohol.

Don't Be Afraid of Change

So the whole thing in the nut shell is either you want to live life just the way you are or make that change to have a better life not only for yourself, but for your families too. Like I have sad, "I can't be happier with the change in my life and i pray that those that want to change, but are afraid to do so, God will provide them the strength to overcome their fear of change and begin and new and happier life ahead.

Excellent thoughtful hub....I agree with you that it is only calculated efforts which will bring positive change in one's life and just aspiring for change in life and not doing anything practical to achieve it, will surely not work and only give more disappointments and disgrace.....yes change is always good and one should accept the change as it comes and try to accommodate it at every age level, though I have seen change at older ages makes people more reactive rather than the clear reason of aging.....thanks.
