Flu Symptoms and Cold Symptoms
Do I Have the Flu or a Cold
Being sick is no fun, but having the flu can feel like you are dying ! A lot of times it's hard to differentiate between the flu and a cold. Many of the symptoms are the same or very similar. The signs of a cold are low grade fever, runny or stuffy nose, feeling weak, tired, or drained of energy. Sometimes you'll also experience mucous that runs onto your throat causing a sore throat, sneezing, and coughing. Headache is another common cold symptom.
Flu symptoms can include all of the above cold symptoms, but usually the fever is much higher around 102 - 104 degrees. The majority of the time you'll experience chills as well as fever at the same time. Another big difference you'll notice with the flu is muscle and body aches, total energy loss and being extremely tired. Cough sometimes accompanies the flu as well as a runny nose, although this is more relevant in children than adults.
