How To Get High On Life Itself

Updated on August 12, 2013

Do you need to drink alcohol or use drugs to get high? I now know how to get high on life itself since I have stopped drinking alcohol and living a clean and sober life.

I never knew that you could get a high on life just by living your life to the fullest and enjoying everyday that God has given us.

We were all given life the same way and it is up to us to make our life the best it can be, or for some, they just don't care and just start to drink alcohol and use drugs and plain out destroy their own life.

Many people in the world just don't see it that anyone's life can be great. The problem is that many feel sorry for themselves and think to them self that they were given a bad rap in life. They don't understand that their life can be as wonderful as they make it, but if you are not willing to put some effort in making that one and only life great then I guess you will have to just suffer until the last breath is taken.

I hate to word that this way, but really, you have to give your life a real shot, and as hard as it may be, and the many problems you may have in your life, you must not throw in the towel and say the heck with it all.

You need to make the best out of your life and never have a negative attitude. You must always think in a positive way and have a positive attitude at all times in your life.

Yes, I know sometimes it may be hard to keep that positive attitude because of something that may have gone wrong in your life, or a problem that may have come up, or someone in your family may had taken ill, but that is no reason to be down in the dumps and thinking poor me my life is horrible.

You have to stand up to the problems and give it your all to make it better and if it has to do with a family member being sick, you need to think positive that they will get better and it doesn't hurt at all to just say a little prayer to our maker and ask for help and love.

You will be very surprised what the power of prayer can do, and just believing in God and loving him can make the worse feelings in your life feel much better.

You need to love yourself and love your life more than anything in the world before you see any good in the future.

Do You Want to Get High

If you want the best high in the world, then stop using and drinking alcohol and start to love the one and only life you have.

It does't cost a penny to get high on life itself, and you will feel great the next day, instead of felling like crap from drug use or drinking yourself silly for that all mighty high which I might add, will kill you in the end.

Loving your life, and getting high on your life, and the way you live it is the best high in the world. At least it is for me. You should really try it and see for yourself that none of us need drugs or alcohol to get high. You need to just live your life the way it should be lived and that is enjoying every second that you are hear on earth and stop crying and winding about how hard you have it.

If your life is tough, and a lot of people's lives are, then do something about it and make a change to live your life on a high that cost nothing and will make you a very happy and thankful person.

Get Your High on Life like This and Not Using or Abusing Alcohol

I USED TO GET HIGH AND BUZZED ON ALCOHOL, BUT I HAVE FOUND OUT THAT I DIDN'T NEED THAT FOR A FUN AND HAPPY LIFE.

Could not agree more! The world is an addict nation - of one sort or another - whining and complaining about their lot in life and drinking and drugging reality away!

If they spent half that effort (and money) on improving their lives?

You're right - they'd be on a high the likes of which cannot be bought, borrowed - or drank!

      Well written Mark.

A long time ago I made a decision to look at what I have as opposed to what I don't. The latter thinking is toxic, especially when no action is taken to change those thoughts that are making me feel disgruntled. I suppose this gets back to the glass being half empty or half full in one's own mind.

HE WHO HAS HEALTH HAS HOPE, AND HE WHO HAS HOPE HAS EVERYTHING :)

I quote that a lot, for no other reason than it helps me to remember. Everyone can get natural highs from various ways, and for me personally it is regular exercise before I start my day. There has been nothing that has ever made me feel better than movement, to include a little exertion, followed by a nice shower to freshen up and begin the brand new day with zest.

Whenever I find myself saying something along the lines of; "Oh, I feel lousy today", I ask myself this; 'Compared to whom?' It doesn't take more than 2 minutes of any NEWS headline before realising just how blessed I am for what I have right here, right now ;-)

I like these kinds of hubs because they give food for thought and have us question ourselves ;-)

The best happiness in life is to learn how to live independent of drugs and alcohol. You've just made it! And good advice for all that are still struggling.

I totally 'GET' this. Having given up alcohol for the past couple of months I just can't believe how good life can be. Feel free for the first time in ages. Yes, it doesn't stop all the problems but you can deal with things without that low level tiredness and anxiety which is always on your back with drinking.
