Inspiring Quotes From Successful People

Life is a constant struggle. A fight for what's best. A test of our will and our ability to push forward past adversity.

Artist Chuck Close once opined:

"Every great idea I ever had came out of work itself." A certain gritty perseverance is needed to get to your goals.

The unconventional road can be daunting and more likely than not, full of risks and naysayers. Chuck Close also once said, "It doesn't upset artists to find out that artists used lenses or mirrors or other aids, but it certainly does upset the art historians."

If you feel like you're the underdog, then you have to learn to find confidence in your rebellion. If you can't seem to get anything right in your life lately, then that's when you need to examine your mistakes, go for a walk, then resolve whatever your missteps were in your own mind. Find some peace in the fact that the world will reward you if you don't give up.

Humanitarian Marva Collins said:

"Determination and perseverance move the world; thinking that others will do it for you is a sure way to fail."

You can reach your goals, you can be the person you need to be. Search within your heart, find the spring in your spirit that drives you and drink from it. Don't let others put you down directly and damage your confidence. Don't listen to others negativity even if it's not directed at you. You are in charge. You can make the difference in your own life and the lives of those around you. Here are some more inspiring quotes...

If The World Around You Seems To Be Crumbling, That's When You Have To Try Even Harder

A Couple More Inspiring Quotes...

Poet Robert Frost said:

"In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life. It goes on."

Whatever tragedy you may be holding onto, whatever rough experience may have stolen your heart from you, find a way to let it go. The sun will still rise tomorrow, the stars will be there again in a few nights. Some events may have transpired that seem to have derailed your dreams, but those are only sour illusions.

Perhaps Helen Keller said it best:

"Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose."

Maybe the reasons why you haven't found your success in your endeavors isn't because you haven't tried hard enough. Maybe it's because your goal isn't true enough. Think about these inspiring quotes then aim twice at what you need from your life, when you can see it is the best goal, dig deep into your heart and you will find you can do whatever it takes to make it happen.

Brief 2020 Update! Including Words From Eckhart Tolle and Muscogee Nation Poet Joy Harjo

I've been going over a few of my essays, namely the top ten most popular, currently this essay is #6 in popularity! I thought I'd add a couple more inspiring quotes, because sometimes "life is a highway and I wanna ride it all night long." Canadian muscian Tom Cochrane.

A few years ago, my life really changed for the better when my oldest daughter, after many attempts, got me to read Eckhart Tolle's books, The Power of Now and also A New Earth. If you need a little help getting your life together, pick up one of his books or search out some of his work on YouTube. From A New Earth, "Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance."

Or from his book, The Power of Now, "Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have. Make the NOW the primary focus of your life."

Lastly, here are few quotes from U.S. poet laureate Joy Harjo:

"I've always had a theory that some of us are born with nerve endings longer than our bodies."

"I know I walk in and out of several worlds each day."

From her book entitled: Secrets from the Center of the World

"I can hear the sizzle of newborn stars, and know anything of meaning, of the fierce magic emerging here. I am witness to flexible eternity, the evolving past, and I know we will live forever, as dust or breath in the face of stars, in the shifting pattern of winds."
