Law Of Attraction : A Practical Guide (Part 2)

Avyukth has been practicing law of attraction techniques for the past 3 years and has seen some miraculous changes in his life.

In my previous article, I spoke about the importance of theta state, feelings and the power of now. In this article, I would like to discuss some more techniques namely affirmations, vision boards and visualization.

Affirmations

This is one of the most commonly used law of attraction techniques. It is also seen across various religions.Affirmations are a conscious choice of concise positive words. In Sanskrit, we refer to them as mantras.

How does it work?

This involves defining your goal and framing it in a compact manner. The most important element is that you start the sentence with the words " I am ". These are undoubtedly the two most powerful words in the English language. Never say, " I am going to be". That future will never arrive. Always believe that you are already so, in the present. By believing that, you are changing your subconscious thoughts and your energy. This will definitely result in the manifestation of your desire.

Example

If your goal is to get more money, your affirmation can be " I am rich and financially abundant." or " "I am making 100,000 dollars this year."
The affirmations are super powerful if they are specific. Repeat these affirmations everyday as soon as you wake up and just before you sleep. Set a definite number of times that you will repeat the affirmations. You can use prayer beads or your fingers to keep count.

Vision board

The subconscious mind thinks in images. So visual cues have a great potential to rewire your subconscious mind.

Your dream collage

Spend some time with yourself. Think of all the dreams you have. It might be materialistic dreams like owning a certain car or a house. It could also be experiential like going on a mountain trek or having a fulfilling relationship.

Now, find one image that represents each of these dreams. Each of these images when looked at must remind you of your dream. Make a collage of these images and put it in a place where you will see it often. The vision board can also contain some text if you feel it will serve you better. You could probably include your affirmations with their corresponding images.

How it works

Every time you look at your vision board, I want you to imagine that you already have these things. Feel happy for it. Get excited about it. Be grateful to the Universe for giving you these things. It is of great importance that you think, " I am happy and grateful for these things in my life." If your thinking is, " One day I will have all of these.", you are postponing their manifestation.

Visualisation

This is also known as the mental movie method. This requires you to harness your imaginative powers.

The exercise

Sit or lie down in a quiet place with no distractions. Close your eyes and relax yourself. Focus only on your breath for a couple of minutes. Now, start imagining what your dream life would look like. It is important to imagine things the way they would look through your eyes. You have achieved your biggest goals. So think of the things you will see, hear, smell, taste and feel. Imagine your friends and family congratulating you. Imagine people patting your back and telling you that they are proud of you. Make it as vivid as possible and enjoy being in the moment. Leverage the strength of your feelings and the power of now.

Example

Let's say your dream is to buy a new car. Imagine walking into the showroom and looking at your dream car. Think of how it would feel to touch the car. Think of how the new seat covers would smell. Imagine the smiles of your family members as you take them on a drive. Believe that it is all happening right now. Create these feelings and let them fill you up.

You are required to stay in this heightened state for as long as possible. Don't force yourself though. Do it for as long as it is comfortable, And once you are done with the exercise, ask yourself one question. " What is one thing I can do today that will take me closer to my desire ?". You might not receive the answer immediately. It might take a few hours or days. But you will definitely get your answer.

Trust your instincts

Once you start practicing law of attraction techniques, your instincts will improve. This can be interpreted as messages from the subconscious mind. The conscious mind may not be able to make complete sense of them. But it is important to trust your instincts and take the leap of faith if required. Most of the time, you will get these instincts when you least expect them. Make sure you note them down immediately and act on them as soon as possible.Remember that all your actions set a chain of events in motion. These events will eventually lead to the fulfillment of your desire.

Conclusion

Make good use of these techniques and perform the exercises on a daily basis. Your subconscious mind will start getting aligned to your dream reality. It will give you hints in the form of instincts. Learn to recognize them and act on them. You will see your dream life materializing right in front of your eyes.
