Meridian Points on the Face

More and more people are learning about EFT, and how it can be used as a tool to heal themselves physically, and emotionally.

EFT, ( or Emotional Freedom Technique ) has been documented as an effective treatment for bipolar disorder, anxiety, and many other physical and emotional problems. Some claim that it can cure anything, but I am not claiming this to be true. I do however, don't see any harm in trying this technique when faced with any physical or emotional issue, because there are no harmful drugs involved, and the only side effect that could possibly come about from using this technique, is a boosted self esteem.

The videos posted to the right, go over the basic meridian points and affirmation statements that are used during an EFT therapy session . The woman in the first video goes very in depth into how EFT works and covers where all of the meridian points are located.

The second video covers the importance of changing your self affirmations to something positive after you have identified the problem. I really enjoy this guy's enthusiasm. :)

I have spent a lot of time doing research about this technique. There is a lot of positive feedback about EFT in all the forums, and comments posted to the videos. There are some skeptics as well.

Some people have pointed out that this is nothing more than a placebo effect. It has been proven that people can heal themselves physically or emotionally when they think they have received real medication, but have not. Personally, I only partially agree that EFT is a placebo-like treatment. Any kind of "mind re-wiring" exercise needs to be done with the attitude that it WILL work. These types of exercises will not work to heal you physically or emotionally, if you have an attitude that it will fail before you begin.

I also feel there is more to the success of this technique than simply placebo effect. Research on these meridian points and the effect of stimulating them, has been proven successful in healing physical and emotional ailments for years. Different ways of stimulating them, such as with acupuncture, massage, and even visualization of stimulous to these areas, has been used in many different forms of healing throughout several different cultures and religions with positive results.

There are a few places online that sell DVD's and books on EFT therapy. Personally I think that it's terrible to charge people large amounts of money to learn EFT.

Please don't pay for it unless you intend to teach it. For personal use the information in these videos is really all you need to know. If you want to learn more go to YouTube or there are other places online where you can download the basic manual for free.

If you really feel that you need more in depth information, you can find books on EFT at Amazon or on Ebay for a much lower price that you will find on some of the websites that offer EFT training.

You as well! This really is a good technique. It feels kind of silly at first , but the benefits are well worth it. Thank you for reading and commenting!

I first learned about EFT from a very reputable and highly respected female family therapist in Seattle. Your wonderful Hub and wise choice of videos have certainly complemented my elementary knowledge of this fascinating therapy.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and resources with others. I'm honored to be followed by you and to reciprocate. Aloha!
