Live with Passion - not Boredom

Updated on October 5, 2009

I used to be Bored

"Live with Passion" the words of the Famous Life Coach, Tony Robbins.

You can’t afford to be bored and if ever you are, refer to my list below, I guarantee there must be at least one thing that you find stimulating to do.

A Choice of 10 Categories:

  • Check your emails, respond.
  • Back up your computer files.
  • Play Games.
  • Watch a Dvd or listen to your favourite music. Dance if you want to and shake that thing!

  • Check your Bank Statements. You will be surprised to know that sometimes Banks deduct money from customers accounts in error or an authorised payment could have left your account, which you can report and claim back.
  • Check how up-to-date you are with the bills.
  • Write out any cheques.

Friends and Family

  • Catch up with friends and family members you haven’t heard from for a while. (check your mobile phone contact list – some names will jump out at you). Call or send text messages.
  • Pay a short visit to a friend.

Health and Beauty

  • Give yourself a Manicure and Pedicure.
  • Have a bubble bath with candles etc and a glass of wine by the side, soft music in the background.
  • Pamper yourself with other beauty treatments. Ladies do your eyebrows need doing? Guy’s, does that beard need trimming?
  • Exercises – Go swimming if you have a leisure centre near you or do any form of exercise that you like.

  • Catch up on all the housework – cleaning, Ironing.
  • Clear out any clutter. Take anything you will not be needing again to the Charity shop when you have time or advertise them on a website. E.g old radio’s, old computer, electric items.
  • Are there any Home improvements that need to be done. E.g touching up bathroom tiles etc.

  • Visit a park. Most have beautiful flower gardens and water features. Take pictures of the flowers if you want or whatever you see. You’d be surprised to see what those squirrels get up to.
  • Visit a library – check out the books and borrow any you find interesting.
  • Go window shopping (this means leaving your credit card at home)

  • Review the goals you have planned for your life. (financial goals, personal goals, career goals etc) What have you accomplished so far and for those you haven’t - what steps will you take to get there? Jot them down.
  • Go through your diary. Do you have any preparations to make for the meetings and appointments you have in a few days/weeks?
  • Any Birthday’s or Anniversaries coming up? Do you have to buy cards or gifts?

Peace and Quiet

  • Don’t fancy moving a muscle? You could be Quiet and meditate or just go to sleep.

Visit the Kitchen

  • Cook something special for you and your family. (there doesn’t have to be a special occasion for this)
  • Clear out the fridge / freezer of whatever has lived there for so long, before it starts growing mushrooms.
  • Have a light Snack.
  • Make a Smoothy.

  • Be creative – Write an Article / Hub.
  • Write a poem for someone or just for you expressing your thoughts.
  • Take it a step further, start thinking of writing an ebook, think of ideas and jot them down. It could be your new project and before you know it, you are on your way to becoming a Famous Author!

That's nice to know Support Med. Sometimes, I wonder why they don't just give them away for free. I say that because they could sell 1 book for 10pence. That's very, very cheap and as you noted you'd be amazed at what you may find. Cheers. :)

Great tips on not being bored. One of the reasons I am so glad for the internet and HP. And even when it comes to ones home, there is always something to do. I love going to the library to check out the books they are getting rid of (prices are very low) and what you find may amaze you.Voted-up/rated.

Hi Lade E Great hub. Lists are good. I got lots of ideas of things to do. Is anyone really bored out there? Kids?

Growing up if my sisters or I said bored my mom would tell us there is no such word. We were told to go look it up in the dictionary. We ran off. That was no fun. lol

Anyway I want to read your goal tips hub. Thanks for stopping by my 'God Send hub. I am grateful our paths crossed. I got a new inspiration for my wiring from the Holy Spirit. I am excited. I will start this new endeavor tomorrow. God is Good.

Be Blessed Always my friend. Be good to you.

The wedding pictures are of my daughter(Rebecca) and me. we were in TorTolla, BVI. August 2007. I have 3 Beautiful Daughters. Her dream was to marry on the beach. It was a miracle the money got here to go. It was awesome. A beautiful journey.

Yes you hit it on the spot with the banks. Up until recently I did not check my accounts like I should only to find out that about $75 was taken from my account unauthorized. I got it all back. So I will make it my business to check my account often. Great Advise as always

Another good one, E. And you're right - one should never be bored. There's always something for everyone to be occupied with. And this here hub, is evidence of that. For me, If I'm not designing a website, I'm writing something - a novel, short story, hub, screenplay, or I can study a movie. Yes, study a movie. Lol. Read a novel, watch satellite TV, play Pro Evolution Soccer with friends, go out, drive around, take a walk, gosh, there must be a dozen things to do. I cant remember ever being bored. :)

      Lol, Bingskee.

Cheers Nicolas, nice to read from you.

Jim Dubre, Ivana. Your comments tickled me. I mean, it was there mistake so they have no right to take you to court. It has also happened to a friend of mine - a large sum of money was deposited into his account and he actually told the bank, he would pay it back in his own time. Lol. There was nothing the bank could do.

I'm just waiting for someone to mistakenly deposit a cool Million into my Account. :)

Hey lady E. So true about the banks. So many people including my self for a long time just thought that the banks did not make mistakes. Whilst running a business here in Poland I have had my deposits transfered into someone elses account, non exisiting charges made, and even one time the bank deposited quite a sum of money into my account by mistake. The funny thing is that when you try to get your money back from the bank due to there mistake it all takes time and no appologies. But the time they deposited to our account by mistake I got registered letter 3 days after it have been made threating to take us to court if we did not return the money. What's that all about. Well the important lession is to learn from this and "enjoy the journey". Nice Hub...

      call to friends

      go to park

      take a breath ...etc.

I don't know why but, we are living non-action
