My first water flush

Updated on March 15, 2016

Why I did a water flush:

I am preparing for a bikini competition, my first, on March 18 and 19 and have read a lot about the benefits of doing a water flush in the days leading up to the competition. The main benefit being it allows the skin to tighten around the muscle, giving you the tight look that you have worked so hard to achieve.

NPC Western Nationals USA in Mesa AZ

Starting weight: 114.5

End weight:112.5

What I used for my flush:

I have been watching a lot of YouTube videos, most have been done by Buff Bunny Heidi Somers, and she really praised the way this particular flush worked.

4 Cups warm water

1 TBLSP Pink Himalayan salt

Drink the mixture within 15-20 minutes for best results and stay near a restroom.

I took the flush on a Sunday night at about 7PM, it took 2 hours for the effects to set in, and when they did I was glad I listened to the bathroom rule, staying in the comfort of my own home.

The day after: I didn’t have any bloating, gas, or other discomforts and felt fine going to work where I would be sitting in an office with lots of people for 8.5 hours, even went to the gym.

Why a salt water flush?

The general use of a salt water flush is to rid the colon and bowel of toxins in the body, although it will not flush out 100% of all toxins. It is said to be best beneficial if performed on a regular but infrequent basis and replaces the very costly enema or colonic. It will result is some weight loss, but mind you this is strictly water weight and the consumption of sodium rich foods will make your body retain more fluids.
