Natural Treatment | Jala neti pot | Cold

Updated on February 20, 2014

Everytime when i feel the cold is coming to my nose and throat, i run. Where?
I run for my jala neti pot.

I was suffering for cold many times, in the spring, summer, fall and winter. Never ending. Gosh. My head was cried for headache, my nose was been nearly water-boarded. Mornings with tons of paper handkerchiefs around the bed. Litres of tea with lemon and honey. Pills. Timewasting in bed.

But, one beautiful full-on cold day, ive decided to look for solution of my never ending problems. Ive browsed internet. And i had found.

How does it look?

What is Jala Neti Pot?

Probably the yoga practitioners know this technique for its effects on treating sinus infections, allergies, stress and headaches. But, why millions of people are taking synthetical pills and buy expensive medical treatments to cure such an usual disease like cold?

They don't know that natural cure exists.

While many of them are becoming increasingly resistant to antibiotics, there is help available through this unique method of sinus irrigation. In its simplest form, Jala Neti is a way of nasal irrigation or washing of the sinuses in a unique manner through a special pot called the neti pot or the jalaneti pot.

And what about You?

Personal experience

I had suffered for cold very frequently, as i told above.
It takes some time to learn the ropes how to flush the PARBOILED OR DISTILLED ( Thanks for tip to Commenter Sinupretsa ) water through whole nose from one side to another side, but definitely when you achieve this point, reliefe will come. Even when your nose is full of the shit, You can beat it. As To-Dos told, ive mixed warm (not very!) water with one teaspoon of salt, leaned my head to specific position and began with treatment.

I have had colds which continued for 2 or 3 weeks. With Jala neti, i do in maximum 7 day cure with glance. One application of Jala neti helps me to have a clear nose for up to 3 hours. Jala neti clears your breathing and prevents flu, because viruses can't survive and evolve in Your nose.

It is a pity that my girlfriend does not want to listen me and still suffers for cold :D But friends who tried this method also, are not forced to buy expensive medical treatments and they are happy with Jala Neti cold cure.

After use, remember to clear the pot. ( credits to Tamara )

I sterilize my neti pot by running boiling water through it. And I use a plastic pot, especially when traveling. Since I've incorporated the use of a neti pot into my daily morning routine, I can't imagine not living without it! The thought of NOT flushing my sinuses every day is just gross.

The structure of the Jala Neti sure does look very unique and different to the normal Neti pot. As you might have read from the popular recent study about sinusitis, water, deaths and Neti pots. Where the study talks about the dangers of a sinus infection that many people put upon themselves by using warm tap water in their solution instead of parboiled water or distilled water. People really need to look out for themselves and do research before they try anything.
