Yes October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and on behalf of my beloved aunt whom we lost to breast cancer I thank you. My aunt went to the doctor with complaints about pain in her breast and was told she was fine, six months later when she went to a different doctor she was in fact told she had advanced breast cancer, we lost her to it one year later. Her struggle was very difficult.

      Peace :)

The more we write about Breast Cancer, the faster we can beat it through public awareness, imo. Thanks for the Hub! Rated up.

Make sure you get checked out! I've had people close to me recover from this because they got checked out. Glad to see a lot of people wearing pink, including the NFL.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month,October is probably for a woman, the most important day of the year. I am very passionate about this cause, because I have, or should I say, I had six of my friends from high school contract breast cancer.Three are still fighting, and the others I'm sad to say passed away after very couragious battles with this incidious disease.

One actually passed away, when she was fory two, she was pregnant with her third baby when the doctor discovered a mass in her breast. She had sensed something was wrong. She asked him to check, had an ultrasound done, and it was confirmed. Her baby was only four months old, she just didn't have a chance.

So, I am saying to all women, please be diligent about doing monthly breast exams and when you are old enough to start having mammagrams please have them done. The sooner it is discoverd, the better chance you have of surviving.

My two friends that have passed on, didn't go to the doctor in time, and left young families behind, as well as grieving husbands.

Please do yourselves the biggest favour, especially if you have a family, stay alert and do regualr checkups Beautybabe xx
