Create Your Own Unique Anti-Aging Program

If you believe the media today, you will think that you need to spend a ton of money on a lot of potions, notions, and even surgery to become and stay young and healthy looking. The fact is, nothing could be further from the truth. If you want to become, be and stay the best you possible, you already have everything you need. You don’t have to spend a penny other than on the things you already buy to feed and care for yourself. What you will want to do is redirect your focus to shop smart and make wise decisions. By making conscious, mindful decisions regarding food, water, rest, and health and beauty care, you can create your own unique and successful anti-aging program.

The basis of a good anti-aging diet is pure, fresh water. We are fortunate in the US that we have safe tap water in abundance. Make a wise and thrifty choice by breaking the bottled water habit. Get yourself a purifying pitcher and a reusable water bottle and put them to work. You will save yourself tons of money, keep tons of plastic out of the landfill, and give yourself a constant, ongoing health and beauty treatment with one wise decision.

Taking care of your inner health will go a long way toward giving you a healthy, glowing, youthful appearance. Pure water washes toxins from your system and plumps up your skin to eliminate wrinkles and produce a fresh glow.

In addition, be sure to use a good cleanser and moisturizer. This does not have to be anything expensive or fancy. Three excellent products for healthy, glowing skin are witch hazel for toning, aloe vera gel for moisturizing, and walnut oil or olive oil for intensive night-time moisturizing around the eyes. These products are readily available, easily affordable, and work just as well as or better than fancy expensive department store “miracle” products.

Additionally, a healthy diet that is high in fresh fruits and vegetables - especially those with antioxidant qualities - and low in red meats and saturated fats will help your skin glow and your body perform at it’s best. By getting plenty of fresh, pure nourishment and hydration and consuming plenty of fiber, you can clean and revive your system better than any expensive product on the market.

When you are making selections for your healthy diet, be sure to choose fruits and vegetables that are high in antioxidants. These will help undo the damage that may have been done to your skin and your health by years of unhealthy habits. Even damage caused by smoking, excessive use of alcohol, or exposure to the sun can be reversed with a diet high in antioxidants.

To be sure of having plenty of antioxidants at work on your anti-aging project, be sure to choose foods that are fresh and brightly colored. Add green leafy vegetables, cruciferous vegetables (cabbage, Brussels sprouts, turnips, and the like) to your diet. Also be sure to include fresh fish, lean meats, beans and lentils, and whole grains. All of these foods are rich in antioxidants and, when consumed regularly, will make a tremendous difference in your overall health and appearance.

You may be thinking that the idea of changing your lifestyle to prevent and reverse the aging process is very daunting, but really, it is as simple as making one good choice after another.

Remember these three things:

  1. When you go to the store, read labels and make the wisest choices possible. Look for foods that have healthy, natural, whole ingredients.
  2. Choose to drink pure water or herbal or green teas (also rich in antioxidants) over soda.
  3. Choose simple, natural health care products over the bottles of chemicals that are typically offered on drug store shelves.

As you make these simple, day-to-day choices, you may become intrigued with the idea of taking control of your life and the aging process with simple, mindful choices. You may decide to turn your anti-aging campaign into an enjoyable new interest or hobby.

It is fun and interesting to learn shop for and prepare natural, healthy foods. The knowledge of various types of teas and their benefits is a subject that is consuming and useful. You can even learn to prepare your own health and beauty that are superior to commercial products and cost a fraction of the price.

There are many books, videos, online courses, and courses at junior colleges and various other agencies where you can learn how to take control of your food choices, and health and beauty care and create your own, unique anti-aging program.

When you make the positive commitment to take responsibility for your own health and well-being, you are empowering yourself and freeing yourself of dependency on mega-corporations that are intent on convincing you that you need what they have in order to be better than you are. The fact is, you already have everything you need to be the best possible you - and that is better than anything else!
