STOP WORRYING IN 3 STEPS

Are you constantly worried about everything in your life? Do you feel like something’s got to give?

If you answered NO, HIGH FIVE TO YOU! That’s pretty awesome! If you answered YES, HIGH FIVE TO YOU, TOO!

BUT...If you answered YES, and would like some help keep reading. I’ll give you 3 tips on how I got through being a worry wart and constantly feeling like nothing was ever going to change. It’s not fun being worried or depressed, but you CAN overcome it!

I used to constantly worry about EVERYTHING, the littlest thing would send me down a spiraling path to nowhere. I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of this condition called hyperhidrosis, but it’s a condition where your sweat glands are highly overactive...weird huh...I know because I have it. I used to be so embarrassed about it. My family (not my parents) made fun of me when I was younger. No one ever wanted me to play on the Nintendo or the Sega because they were afraid I would mess up the controllers with my salty hands. Sound familiar?

Anytime my worry trigger would go off, so would the faucet of my hands and sometimes my feet. Meeting people when my hands were sweaty was even more terrifying to me...I would already be worried about something like being in public in the first place...then meeting someone new and worrying about them judging me because I have sweaty ass hands just sent my worry into overdrive. Not only would my hands and feet sweat, but so would my underarms. PIT STAINS FOR DAYS! It was painfully embarrassing, to say the least.

The more I would worry and feel stressed out the more I would get myself into a depression. One day while my boyfriend and I were sitting at home we decided to watch a documentary on Netflix called “What The Health”...if you haven’t watched it or thought about watching it...DO IT...DO IT TODAY! Life changing.

The first thing that helped me...hear me out before you stop reading...I changed my diet to VEGAN! I know what some of you're thinking…No way! I can’t do that! Well if you really did some research for yourself and found out about what’s really in the foods you might find yourself questioning everything...EVERYTHING you’ve ever learned about from school to your parents. No, but FOREAL! It’s absolutely ridiculous what is considered safe for us to eat. That’s a whole other blog!

So you don’t think you can be completely vegan, and that’s cool too. At least cut the dairy and eggs out of your diet. And change your table salt to the pink Himalayan salt. It might seem a little expensive, but it last a while and you only need a LITTLE PINCH. Think about it this way, changing your diet would save you on medical bills and you will feel 100% better, that’s priceless to me.

What you eat and think, play a big role mentally and physically. A lot of people don’t think that. We are taught to believe our body and mind are two totally different things, but that’s untrue. What your mind thinks and feels effects you mentally and physically. That’s a whole other blog, too!

Here is my second tip...get you a daily or at least...scratch that... be willing to put some exercise into your daily routine. It doesn’t matter if you get outside and walk 30 min in the morning before getting the kids up or later in the evening when the kids are in bed….OR heck get your kids and the rest of the family involved. If you have more time and can do more YouTube some workout videos for at home, or sign up at your local gym and see if they offer some training. Maybe you can involve your family and friends, too!

My third and last tip and probably the most important one. If you are not on a spiritual journey that involves you doing some deep soul-searching, I suggest you get on a path ASAP!!! It will help you and the world. Your worries can disappear! No lie!

If you can’t do the first two, that’s ok...at least be willing to start a spiritual path. For the past 2 years, I have been on mine...I was raised to believe in Christianity, but the older I got the more I felt like I wasn’t connecting. I started watching Oprah’s “Super Soul Sundays” on YouTube and that’s where I found this precious gift of a woman Gabrielle Bernstein...she had me in tears of joy! FINALLY!!! Something was resonating inside of me. I actually felt closer to God and myself. Mrs. Bernstein in her writings “The Universe Has Your Back” introduced me to even more people who could help me understand and give me the tools and techniques for finding and beginning my spiritual journey.

Let go of worrying and give it to the Universe. Find your true self and be the light!
