Reasons Why Suicide is Not The Solution

Updated on January 7, 2017

Suicide is the act of killing yourself, because you do not want to continue living. Also known as the coward's way out.

It is true that suicide is the coward's way out. You kill yourself, because you do not want to keep living in this crappy world, but guess what? If you kill yourself, you're just as crappy as the world is. Your life is not yours to decide when to end it. God let us borrow this life, because he trusted us and he cared for us. We shouldn't waste it, because it is not ours to begin with.

I've been there you know, I wanted to give up and I don't what is going on in my life and I don't know what to think of. I was so confused that time, but I went to a church and cried my eyes out and prayed for guidance. I thought about it and I realized that life is a continuous challenge. Life is about the ups and downs, without it, it's just plain boring. It will even get more tiresome, if you continue to live the way you live everyday. I'm not a robot to do that. I thanked God I was able to feel all these kind of things and I continued to live, and now I'm taking Engineer in one of the best schools in the world, and I even got a rank.

If I think back to the time that I was supposed to do it, I thank God I didn't, because if I did, I wouldn't be able to achieve what I'm achieving right now, and I wouldn't be able to feel this happy.

Think of it this way, problems won't be given to you if you can't overcome it. Solved problems are also lesson learned. When you feel like everyday is a battle it means that waking up everyday means that you get to win everyday. Not everyone gets a chance to wake up in the morning. So please, don't waste your chance.

If you were to commit suicide, think of everyone you are leaving behind. Do you want to ever make them feel that they are not enough to make you stay? Don't do that to them. Life is hard as it is, don't make it harder for others. Think about others too. Don't be selfish. All of us have a problem on our own, be there and help others lighten what they are facing, don't be a coward and go, because hurting is a part of life. Pain is a part of life. All of us feel these things; it is a part of life, but to give up? It's only part of the coward's life. Only cowards don't fight for what is best for them and for others.

Don't be selfish, you are not only hurting yourself, you are also hurting those around you. So please, if you ever feel like giving up, don't; seek help. Your friends and family will love to help you get out of that state. If they aren't available, seek medical help. Just please, don't give up on yourself. Prove yourself that you are wrong and continue living. Almost anyone will be there to help you, if you just seek help. Even a stranger will love to help you, because you are important. Every individual here on Earth has their own purpose, don't lose yours.

It's just a phase, don't worry. Everyone gets through it, just don't give up and continue fighting. Once that phase is done, I promise you it will be the best feeling in the world. So, please be there when it happens.

Don't be a coward and fight!

"When the fear of pain in life becomes greater than the fear of pain in will choose death every time"~Henry David Thoreau~

The irrationality of suicide is only understood by those who succeed at it.Unfortunately there are circumstances when it is the best choice...even in the bible some threw themselves on their swords...which must have been OK with God or he would have stopped it.
