Take Time to Pause and Reflect

For those who may be unfamiliar with this expression it simply reminds us to slow down, catch our breath, and take in the wonders that surround us.

We get so caught up in the rush rush of every day living that many times we miss the sunrises, the sunsets, the newly blossomed flower, the refreshing rain that comes.

Can you remember when the last time was that you put aside whatever pressing task you had and just allowed yourself to totally relax, outside away from all of life's normal stressors?

If you are having a difficult time remembering when that time was, clearly it is time for you to back up and regroup.

It is time to put some things on hold for a time...it does not need to be a long time...It is time to re-prioritize.

Put YOU in the picture.

Nothing can beat the smell of dew and flowers and the odor that comes out of the earth when the sun goes down.

— Ethel Waters

"some Time"

It just needs to be 'some time.'

Time enough to refresh

  • your body
  • your mind

and

  • your soul

Time to smell the proverbial roses.

Time to see and feel even a tiny bit of what nature offers each day.

Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.

— Ashley Smith

Time Lapse Photography Shares Nature's Splendor

Just a Few Moments...

Just a few minutes is all you need.

Getting in tune with nature does not have to become 'one more thing' to add to your list that is already overflowing, too demanding. That would, of course, defeat the purpose.

Steal away a few minutes to peek at the sky above..the billowy sassy clouds sailing by...

the pristine snowflakes falling ...

the crystal drops of water that fall gently as you walk along in it...

Whatever...take a few moments to soak in nature's calm...

Notice What Surrounds You

Stop ever so briefly (if that is all the time you can spare) and really see the grasses, the blossoms, the skies, the waters that you may pass hurriedly each day.

It is calming and will help to begin your day in a lovely way.

As you walk down the fairway of life you must smell the roses, for you only get to play one round.

— Ben Hogan

Really Notice Your Surroundings

What wonders await as you step into nature...

Take time to observe~~

  • texture
  • color
  • shape
  • size
  • variety

How many colors of green do you see, for example?

How many different yellow flowers pop up?

Observe the size and shape of trees and leaves and weeds and grasses.

One really beautiful thing is....all of the wonders you see are FREE. There is no cost.

And the wonders are there every single day..something new, every time you step out.

Do yourself and your family a huge favor...give yourself time to slow down just for a few minutes each day. It is unbelievable how much better you will feel...Guaranteed!!!

Sit For a Few Moments

Your schedule it tight.

Take only a moment to sit among the beauty that surrounds you.

Walk out to the beach and let the rhythm of the waves crashing ashore calm your soul.

Sit on a park bench and watch entertaining little squirrels busily rushing to and fro.

Simply Perfect...

See, Hear, Feel, Smell, Taste

All of your senses can be involved as you turn to nature to renew your possibly somewhat bruised soul.

Allow yourself as often as you possibly can to be totally immersed in the entire sensory experience that awaits.

You will feel calmer, more relaxed, and refreshed.
