The Many Uses of Olive Oil!

Olive oil is said to have been used for 6,000 years! It is pure oil retrieved from the fruit of olive trees. Its many uses make it the number one oil in the world! Olive oil also comes in "virgin" olive oil which means it is pure and has passed the test of purity through the International Olive Council. Virgin olive oil is the best form of olive oil. It also comes in several other forms such as crude and refined.

Try is with eggs, pop corn, meats, potatoes and more! It tastes amazing when used to pop your own popcorn on a stove top. Add some sea salt and it makes it a healthy, vitamin rich snack!

Uses of Olive Oil

Shaving : Putting a tablespoon on the skin prior to shaving helps the blade gently go over the skin, while adding just the right amount of moisturizer to help prevent cuts, bumps and scrapes.

Wood Polisher : Add a small amount to a rag and rub over wood to give it a nice shine and glow without causing any damage or wear to the wood that can age it.

Manicure : Use on nails to soften cuticles and reduce hangnails.

Stretch Marks : Rub on your belly through out your pregnancy to help heal and prevent stretch marks!

Cooking Lubrication : Put some oil in pots, pans, on spoons, knives to ease clean up after cooking sticky food.

Frizz Control : Use a small amount on a comb and brush through the shaft of wet hair, then blow dry. This will prevent frizz and add nourishment to the hair!

Free Stuck Zippers : Use a q-tip and dip it in olive oil and cover the zipper, this will ease it and help release any stuck zipper on shirts, pants, ect.

For Cat & Dog Fur : Add a little bit to your pets food and the nutrients will give your pet's fur a nice shine and glow. Also helps their skin and helps prevent hair balls in cats!

Lip Bulb : Olive oil rubbed over the lips aids in chapping and cracking and helps heal the lips fast.

Snoring : A small sip of olive oil before bed may help reduce snoring by lubricated the throat.

Exfoliate Skin : Take a small amount of olive oil and mix in coarse sugar or salt and scrub into skin for a few minutes, then rinse.

Oil Bath : Adding a few spoons of olive oil to bath water will leave your skin baby soft!

Make-Up Remover : Dab a small amount onto a cotton ball to remove make-up without damaging the skin with chemicals.

Ear Aches : Take a q-tip and add some olive oil to it and gently swab the inside of your ear. It helps relieve pain and increase healing.

Paint Remover (on skin) : Rubbing olive oil on skin after painting helps remove any paint from the skin! Let it sit for 5 minutes and it rubs right off.

Lice Treatment : Apply to hair and leave in for 40 minutes to an hour. Rinse with gentle shampoo. Do once more as a preventative. Lice hate oil, which is why they don't live on heads that have messy, dirty hair!

Stop Squeaks : Add a small amount to squeaky doors, cabinets and so on to stop the sound.

Shoe Polish : Rubbing a small amount one shoes makes a great show polish!

Skin Oil : Rubbing a small amount on dry areas make skin soft and supple.

Leather Conditioner : Rub some on anything leather and let it sit for 30 minutes then wipe away.

Cure Diaper Rash : Rub some on your baby's bottom to stop pain and heal chapped skin.

Tanning Oil : Olive oil is great to get a nice, deep tan! Only do in 10 minutes increments if you burn easy!

Personal Lubricant : Great for intimate massages.
