The Skin Gun, Stem Cell Research that is Working

Updated on January 14, 2014

I know that when someone says Stem Cells that everyone automatically think Fetuses and Babies. This is not the case. There has been new research done and clinical trials are continuing on a new technique to heal up to 2nd degree burnt skin in 4 to 5 days. It is basically called the skin gun. What they do is take Skin Stem Cells from the patient that has burns and diluting it with water. Then spray it on with a large Air Brush type gun. Then they apply a special Mesh over the burnt area that provides protection and nutrition to the cells. The man in the video was treated on a Friday and was healed by Monday. His skin looks like it was never even burnt. Check out his video it came from the National Geographic website shown on YouTube.

Thanks DJ for stopping by. I have been trying to find more information on this then when I originally wrote this. If it continues to work out then it could save a lotyof people a lot of pain and suffering.

      Hello, Bill,

I like to think that I keep up on the latest medical procedures but obviously, I do not. This idea with the spray stem cell skin is the

best news I have read in a long time. Geez! Blink for ten years and

      you'll never believe the advancements.

We have a relative who is advanced in years. He had the old tube TV,

and we would try to get him interested in a flat screen. "Oh, this one works just fine," he'd always say. One day he called. You have to stop by the house and see what I have. We walked in to find a flat screen TV. Yep! But, you cannot see much of anything on it.

How old is that box, you have?

"Oh, it's one of the first ones that came out. But, it works just fine!"

We figure it will take another 10 years to make him understand he needs a new box.

      DJ.

That's a good article. Very interesting. Must guide my hubby towards some of your other articles as he is a bit of a handyman himself too.

That is great. Why wouldn't it work? Good hub. Nothing wrong with using your own stem cells. Voted Up.

Pretty darn impressive. I would get second degree burns here and there from brazing as a commercial plumber. It could take 3 weeks for some of these to heal.

Yes this is fascinating I to hope that it pans out and is a effective as they are predicting that it will be. They have been testing this and are getting great results.

That was fascinating! My ex-wife worked in the burn center at the hospital and the injuries she told me about were heartwrenching. If this thing works that is remarkable!
