Hi there, I going to share with you some tips that will help you lose weight and keep it off. Often weight loss for most of us is temporary and no sooner we lose it we gain it back. As we know most of the popular diets of today are not successful in the long term because they do not address the root cause or many facets of losing weight successfully. I will now share with you some methods that will help you lose weight successfully and keep it off permanently.

The foods we crave are often the ones that cause us to gain weight. Therefore you should snack smartly. I recommend that you satisfy your cravings with healthy foods instead of ignoring them outright. Some of the best foods are oats, protein rich snacks, fruits and vegetables

Be careful what you do while watching the TV. A study suggests that watching TV and eating makes you eat 40% more calories. You might not realize it, but eating while texting or driving may make you over eat. Therefore it is essential that you do not allow anything to distract you while you are eating.

Check your weight daily and note if you gain any weight over several consecutive days. If you do, take this as a warning and start or increase you workout accordingly and cut back on some of the things you eat.

As part of your exercise program, do some pushups, squats and lunges in 30-second intervals. This will help you to build your muscle mass and with more muscles, your metabolism should be higher and you will burn more calories as you continue to exercise.

If you crave a certain food, try distracting yourself by doing something. Take a walk, wash your car or take a ride, usually cravings last for about 5 minutes.

Did you know that if you sleep half an hour earlier than usual and wake up half an hour later helps you to choose better foods? According to research this is a fact. In addition getting enough rest reduces the tendency to snack because of stress or fatigue.

Eat lots of fruit, because it is made up of mostly water and it has not fat, it will fill your stomach up which will cause you to eat less high-calorie foods. Fruit contain good types of carbohydrates so you do not have to worry about carb count and fruit contain plenty of fiber.

It is important that you eat a well balance breakfast made up mainly of proteins, carbs and a little fat which helps to stabilize your blood sugar levels. Choose foods like turkey and whole wheat toast, as well as egg whites as they satisfy your taste buds and stomach.

Do you know that that a bottle of beer can significantly increase your calorie intake? It is a good practice to keep beer or alcohol at arm’s length because it will not help you attain your weight loss goals.
