Weight Loss Help

Updated on May 31, 2012

We all have been on a diet at some point in our lives and we all have tried one or more that was an absolute blunder. They either have costed too much, the food was horrible, or we simply just gave in too easy to the cravings of the golden goodness of the fast food line. Either way it went down there is still hope.

First of all no diet should be done alone you always need some support and reminder of your goals. Go online to a website that offers a Weight Loss Planner like "WebMD" set your goals and whatever your Weight Loss goal is cut that into smaller goals to keep from becoming discouraged.

Second, you really don't have to go crazy over what food to cut out of your diet as long as you know your limit. For example: let's start with breakfast (the most important meal of the day) Instead of a huge meal, try something simple a handful of grapes, some orange juice, and a cup of yogurt.

Now between breakfast and lunch you are going to get hungry try to overcome your cravings by drinking flavored water.

Just as you did for breakfast, keep your lunch simple eating plenty of fresh fruits and veggies. Continue to drink water as it will flush all the toxins from your body.

Now with all this being said I have one thing that I have learned to hold true in the dieting world. In order to make this work you Have to cut the Sodas, Tea, Coffee, Ect... out of your diet you will see the difference immediately. Stick with water, juice, 2% or 1% milk for your drinks. For heavy soda drinkers like myself you will have a headache for a week or so if it becomes too bad drink half a can and say no thanks to the other half.

Now for dinner you can eat a good meal but I still recommend to take it slow only eat a 1/2 a cup serving at a time. Eat that serving if you feel as if you can get up and walk away from the table satisfied then do so, if not ask for another 1/2 cup eat it. After that stand up, move around if you don't have that OMG!!! I ate tooo much feeling then you are where you need to be.

What about the chocolate cake for dessert? it's okay but only one slice and only once a week and only if you really really can't substitute something else. Pick a day in the week for your comfort food cravings. If you still crave it when you get to that day feel free to eat it if not then say No Thank You to it and move on.

Remember Dieting is not all that hard as long as you eat right and be safe while doing it.
