Do you have a phobia?
Does anyone here have a phobia or a less severe irrational fear? I thought I'd ask since I've just had my 6'3" boyfriend cowering behind me as I tried to put a spider out of the window, all the while telling me how 'serious' the situation is. I have a phobia of frogs, even thinking about them makes me feel uneasy, hearing stories about them (especially when they're involved in gruesome lawnmower-related deaths) makes me feel sick, and actually seeing them results in me running, screaming and crying like a child.
I have a phobia of spiders as well. I can't live knowing there's a spider in my house! I'm also slightly germaphobic.
Thanks for answering! I think a fear of spiders is fairly common, because of how different they are to us I think it's natural to be afraid of them? As long as I know they're not poisonous I just see them as a tiny insect though
I don't know anyone with a frog phobia-- is it connected to any incident that you remember?
I know of someone who hates foam (like foam mattresses) and I personally hate fingernail files. Ew, just thinking of that gives me goosebumps. (I have to turn away and think of something else anytime I see someone filing her nails in a film. And no, I don't get manicures!)
I like frogs and snakes and spiders, but get worried around moths and grasshoppers. (Not phobic, but don't like things that jump into my hair). I am definitely phobic about small spaces and breathing underwater.
I also recently commented to my husband that I don't like houses that you can see through-- for example when there are windows in the front door and you can see through the house to windows out the back.
He thought that was weird, but who can tell why we are bothered by certain things??
Your not alone about the see through houses. I hate that as well.
I can remember the first time I was scared by a frog but it wasn't traumatic, I was just outside in my Grandad's garden when I was a little girl and I heard one croak behind me - I ran inside screaming and I don't really know why.

Ok, so my ever-shrinking bladder wakes me up at 2 am. While in a most delicate position I see THIS:crawling up my bathroom wall. Much screaming ensues and it eventually pulls my husband out of bed. After I run screaming from the bathroom with my hands over my ears he smooches it(I...

What is the "craziest" phobia you have?I personally only have maybe 2 phobias, one is the fear of flying, I've never flown, and wouldnt have to unless it was urgent. And the other is the fear of being suffocated.

Today is Friday the 13th, and Triscadecaphobia, is the fear of the number 13, and the fear of Friday the 13th falls under this phobia. Most people have a fear or phobia about something. Mine is the fear of heights, Acrophobia. But, for the most part, I can deal with it. My wife, on the...

I'm appealing to anyone who lives in a warm climate to help me out. Something in my garden has plagued me the whole 7 years I've lived here in spain. It's very small (and my eyesight isn't too good - I wear glasses), it's dark in colour, and it draws blood when it bites. I don't know if it is a...
