towards others, thus having MORE friends than people from large families(6 or more children per household) who are less friendly, highly clannish/insular, and extremely distrustful of others, thus having VERY LITTLE or NO friends?

Not at all, wrote hubs on the topic. People from large families tend to be highly insular, not wanting to venture outside their familial world. People from small families are more welcoming to those outside their family circle. I have noticed this.
I find that people from small families tend to reach more to others while those from large families stay WITHIN the family circle, not having interpersonal relationships with others.
