Female 24yrs old. Had total hip replacement just over 3 years ago to the left hip

(due to a deformity of the joint, which occurred birth)I've been diagnosed with Sciatica on the side of surgery. I heard someone say that they had some movement of their foot and leg immediately following surgery.I could NOT physically move my foot or leg for 3 weeks and my foot now naturally 'flops' to the left. I just thought it was normal to lose the use of the leg after surgery.Physiotherapist gave me a long bandage which i had to throw and loop over my foot, so i could move my leg using my hands and the this normal? I'm wondering if there was nerve damage due to malpractice?
