Bill's article should be very helpful for anyone undergoing or considering hip replacement surgery. He came through it remarkably well. The only thing I wouldn't be able to do with regard to his surgeon's advice is sleep on my back. I can only do that for a few minutes, then I roll over to my left. A bit later I roll over to my right. I do this all night long, reaching for the cold side of the bed.

Glad to hear you're doing so well, Bill!

This is an excellent article about Bill's hip replacement. It is always good to have a first-hand account of a surgical procedure for those that have to walk that path. I'm glad your surgery went so well, Bill.

Thanks for posting this article, Misbah.

Thank you, Pamela!  Five weeks later I am still amazed at how easy this was.

Your account, Bill, mirrors most people's results after having hip surgery.  It is a much easier recovery than knee surgery!  I am so glad that your surgery went well, and that you can share your first-hand experience with us.  Thanks, Misbah, for the important share!

I was skeptical, Peggy, even with everyone saying it was much easier than knee surgery. I just figured they were trying to keep me from worrying. Turns out they were correct.

I am amazed at what doctors can do today.  Thank god for smart people who go into the medical field.  Doctors, nurses, technicians, therapists, etc., they are all incredible.  So glad that everything went as planned and you are back in action.  Good info for future reference.

Very nice narration and would be definitely helpful for many who have apprehensions before such surgeries.

It was so good to read your first-hand account of the hip replacement, Bill. In fact, it couldn't have gone any smoother by the sound of it. i don't view any operation as fun, but this certainly put me at ease if I ever need a similar procedure (no current hip pain here..touch wood).

Thank you for sharing the link so we could comment, Misbah.

Bill has created an informative and interesting article. Thanks for sharing it, Misbah. I'm glad the surgery went so well. Bill's article plus a doctor's advice should be very useful for someone in a similar situation to him.

You've definitely passed the worst of this & from the sounds of it, you've done exceptionally well.
    So happy for you.!

This article will absolutely help anyone who is skeptical about the procedure.

I'm glad you had that angel comforting you during the procedure.
A little bit of humanness can go a long way.
    Great write.

Keep doing what they tell you.
