Pros: No STIs, no fear of pregnancy, knowing what you like, orgasm, enhancing a sexual relationship with your partner, lower risk of prostate cancer in men, release of healthy hormones and neurotransmitters, tension/stress relief.
Cons: Too much of anything is not healthy. Becoming addicted (yes it is possible) to masturbation would have social impacts. Being addicted to masturbation is rare. As long as it doesn't inhibit your life, masturbate away!
