The con is lack of physical contact and intimacy with another person.
The pro is you know what you like and you can make it happen!

No person should say that masturbation is a sin, adultery is, religious people are in the habit of saying "do what I say, not what I do" that is just being two faced, but they would, would't they.

Pros: No STIs, no fear of pregnancy, knowing what you like, orgasm, enhancing a sexual relationship with your partner, lower risk of prostate cancer in men, release of healthy hormones and neurotransmitters, tension/stress relief.

Cons: Too much of anything is not healthy. Becoming addicted (yes it is possible) to masturbation would have social impacts. Being addicted to masturbation is rare. As long as it doesn't inhibit your life, masturbate away!

No, I am not addicted to it, however, I did read a post from a girl who admitted she did it 10 TIMES  a  DAY, it made her boyfriend jealous as he could only do it once or twice a day at the most, she certainly was addicted to masturbation.

When over practiced the cons are more.

Google search for "over masturbatio n"

Note: it is not allowed to type the word "over masturbatio n" (that's why I placed a space before 'n")
