when combining cardio and weight training how long should each be preformed.
It really depends on how much time you're willing to devote to your exercise plan. Plus, if you're new to exercise, you'll want to spend less time than if you've been working out consistently. You can get a good workout in with 20 minutes of cardio and 20 minutes of weight training. But, there is no solid rule to follow when combining both forms of exercise.
Combining the two into interval training and increasing your heart rate while you target your muscles is my favorie exercise program - saves time and is more fun too!
The goal is to see an improvement in both your muscle tone and your resting heart rate. Your muscles are the armour that protects you.
