    there are no proofs that chlorine can initiate cancer..hmm i think it's not really proven...

    We dont know the full effects of chlorine on the skin, if you are looking for alternatives i would recomend looking into Bromine this is from the same family as chlorine or Halogens as they are called.

    Bromine is usually used in hot tubs as it is a lot more resistant to heat but can also be used in above ground pools.

    I stay away form chlorine when I can. Salt water pools are an excellent way to avoid high exposure to chlorine.
