What to look for when buying a Yoga mat.
I've recently began some bodyweight training and i've found the mat i'm currently using becomes very slippery and doesn't provide much support. What should i look for when purchasing a yoga mat?
I actually rarely use yoga mats, because I am usually doing yoga in my room on my carpet. When I do use a mat I usually look for a thicker one or just double up the mats. Cushion is what I look for!
Yoga mats are just paraphernalia, like the paraphernalia that some starters in magic practice think they will need, the equipment doesn't make them any better, and a yoga mat will not make you any better at yoga. Don't waste your money, any type of mat or rug of the right size will do, an old off cut will do the job.
I was in the market for a mat that wouldn't get slippery during warm yoga. I went with a Jade mat because it is made of rubber and it is absorbent. If I need extra traction, I lay a towel under my hands or feet, and there is zero slippage.
Try to look for something clean, pretty and comfortable.
Don't forget that your mattress reflects your mind health and willingness to perform good.
Seek a high-quality mattress that is as unique and invaluable as your own self.

How do you clean your yoga mat?Wipe down with antiseptic, or soak in tub with vinegar and water? Some other method?
