i_love_timmies, the cost of private health insurance per month would definitely depend on the insurance companies you've signed up with and what the policy covers. The more the coverage the higher the monthly premium cost. You should consult an insurance agent whose licensed to discussed insurance costs. Ask for a quote if possible. Here is the article about President Obama's health care reform I found very interesting regarding the cost of health insurance that may drive up the cost of private health insurance dramatically : http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/2VJ5kK/ww … -insurance
If the link doesn't work automatically, just copy and paste to the search engine. I hope this help.

I agree with vphomma1. Insurance premiums will depend on several factors like are you getting this for yourself, with a partner, or with the family? Next, you’ll also consider the age and lifestyle you have have. I think there are private health insurance providers like http://www.nib.com.au/ who believe that non-smokers should be given a chance at lower health premiums—that’s how I understood an article; Best to do research on that, especially if you’re a non-smoker. That’s probably something you’d like to ask about your health care provider if ever.
