What are the packages available for a cataract surgery under Medical Insurance coverage?
And what are the treatments covered under the available packages?
Charges vary from hospital to hospital. It also varies on the kind of intraocular lens used. The intraocular lens is made of either acrylic or silicon. The package cost ranges from Rs 16000-22000 depending on the lens. These days’ multifocal intraocular lens which can correct both near and distant vision are available. The cost of these lenses is much higher. I am not sure whether the insurance policy you have covers the extra cost.
