Has anyone been able to apply for medical insurance under the Affordable Care Act?
Since October 1, 2013 I have been trying to gain access to California's website to apply for medical insurance online. The website has been experiencing problems since the first day. To date, I have not been able to apply for a program that the government has mandated me to do. Have you been able to apply online? I'm just curious to know if people are successful or not in applying for insurance online.
You would not be the only one. I have been wondering this same question all day. I talked to a guy last month who is an insurance broker. He spent the summer taking the classes and getting qualified to sell insurance on the state website. For 3 weeks before the October 1 start date he tried to get into the website without success.

Is the Republican party helped or hurt by their role in the 2013 government shutdown? The Republican members of Congress forced a government shutdown due to their objections to The Affordable Care Act (aka ObamaCare). Do you think this action will help or hurt their chances in the 2014 mid-term...
