What are the longterm major disadvantages to having a meniscus removed?
Depending on your age and I suffer from this especially when its damp, early arthritis, Any menisci of the ones in our knees we have now, can be repaired surgically if one is willing to tolerate the suffering that can incur and hope for the best. Whether they operate or not there will be pain that could affect your entire lower body. I didn't get it removed when I was 30 and my specialist suggested it, it turned out to be a good decision as my walking habits have increased since my retirement. Talk to a Doctor/knee specialist get his opinion.
