Why does it seem as if time passes more quickly the older we get?
At least it feels that way to me!
Because the concept of time is much more real when older, we know we will someday have to face our mortality, as kids we always think we will live forever. "Get old? That's for old people" is how I thought when young.
I think as we get older we place more and more value on time, so it seems to pass more quickly because we realize we have less and less and cannot replace it.
When we are young, we feel like we have all the time in the world. Our whole lives are ahead of us, so we place little value on time at that point.
