When people say they eat a CLEAN diet, what does this mean to you?
This is what I think a clean diet should consist of,
Consume a wide-variety of full, unrefined and organic foods in a type that’s as near as you possibly can to the way the foods appear in nature
Stay away from packaged sugars, especially fizzy beverages such as soft drinks
Steer clear of saturated fats and trans fats, and instead substitute healthy, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats
Often mix complicated carbohydrates together with lean proteins and some healthy fats at each and every meal
Distribute your meals out over 5-6 more compact foods, eaten just about every 2-3 hrs
Try to eat for maximum nutritional density. Basically, steer clear of “empty” calories seen in ready made meals, pop, treats, desserts and biscuits, and swap in nutrient-dense snack foods.
Pay attention to proper servings and use portion control
Get plenty of fluids at the very least eight cups per day.
I hope this helps you.
I think it generally means as healthy a diet as you can possibly manage. Where I live in a working class community no one can really afford to live on a 'clean' diet or any other kind of diet come to think of it. But if you can I'm sure it is very beneficial to you, but I have to admit that I think they are incredibly tedious!
The correct answer to this is obvious if you know your Bible or if you are Jewish. There are 2 kinds of meat. Clean and Unclean. The Unclean meats are listed in Deuteronomy 14:3 where it begins by saying, "You shall not eat any detestable thing." The clean animals must chew-the-cud AND have a cloven hoof. Some unclean animals might have ONE of those attributes but not both... such as the swine (pig) because it has a cloven (split) foot, but does NOT chew the cud, it is UNCLEAN. The Bible calls these UNCLEAN meats an abomination! Science agrees with the Bible here because all of the UNCLEAN animals are the scavengers such as rats, vultures, hyiena, dogs, etc etc. Many people choose to ignore these laws of God, and they have un-explainable health problems. Trichinosis can be mis-diagnosed as many other ailments. Armidillo burgers became popular down in Texas some years back... until some eaters of those toothsome burgers came down with LEPROCY!!!! God's laws are there to keep us healthy and happy... not to constrain us without any reason --- as many believe.
