I am just taking a guess at this as it is not something that I pay close attention to and would have to say 2 weeks.

This question for me is two fold - about a month ago I was drinking 3/4 a week - I felt I had to.  I have high blood pressure and am on meds for it - I also go to the gym 3 times a week for exercise and 6 months before that I had my meds reduced for I was getting better and blood pressure was being brought under control and returning to normal.

What the problem was that I felt my meds were causing me to feel a little down and would have to drink a diet soda to 'boost' me up.  Wen to to the MD and we both realized one of the meds was causing my heart to be a little slower than it should - so I reduced the amount of that one med and in a week I not only felt better But I had no cravings for a 'soda' at all.

Maybe a year, or more. I rarely drink them anymore. They have too much sugar and I never liked the 'diet' ones. They don't contain any nutrients and some of the ingredients can be harmful. Water, tea or even a glass of wine are better choices.

Switched to the diet one's. At one point, got used to the horrible taste they have. It's still better then the regular intense sugar one. It's hard to loose bad habits, that's why a dependency could only be replaced by another. After I stopped drinking cola often, fruit juices seemed so very tempting. Don't think that I ever been a month without it.
