Addictions are often times defined by consequences. If you are pushing people away and ignoring responsibilities because of a need to use the internet then you might be addicted.
If something is harming you and you can't break away from it, then you are addicted. If you do something habitforming out of enjoyment , then it could well be a passion. So, like myself, I love the computer. I find it fascinating and highly useful so I'm at it through out the day. If it is hurting me , like let's say eye strain, I back off roughly 5 minutes every hour. If on the other hand, it is hurting a relationship that is important to you , then its time to back off for a compromise. Trust your good judgement and I am sure you'll make the right decisions.

Any thoughts on the word 'addictive'?You can have small obsessions like troubling your siblings or major obsessions like drugs. But do all these require the same strength to overcome.
