To what are you addicted, or another way to say it, what do you find yourself craving the most or...

Do you find yourself needing something each day, almost as if addicted, or maybe a nice word, craving something, i.e., chocolate?  As for myself, I do have to have my nice hot cup of coffee, but then I do crave chocolate too, almost as if addicted.  And it does not have to be something you consume, i.e., being on the Internet, etc.

It's already made obvious by my blog, but video games. if I don't get the chance to play a nice game every now and then, I'll be very irritated with the people around me. One I tend to be particularly addicted to is the Harvest Moon series, but I also enojy platformers, action RPG's, and the occassional fighting game. heck, sometimes i'm even willing to pop a shooter in and have a run.

Hi TNT Husky, thanks for the answer!  Yes, the games are very addictive, and you're right, you could multi-task and go for a run while playing a game!

Until earlier this year, my answer would've been "smokeless tobacco," aka "dip," which I had been using since I was a teenager, but I quit a few months ago and so far, I've made it stick....
Now that the tobacco monkey is off my back, I guess my addiction would be HubPages! smile

Awesome FatFreddysCat!!!  Congrats on making it stick so far!  And I sure do understand about being addicted to HubPages too : )

I was addicted to food for years.

It is a terrible thing to be a slave to something like that!

But the result of that addiction was the creation of my online weight loss program for food addicts, called the Get Thin for Good online weight loss program, so I am thankful to have been through it.

Hey there, Get Thin for Good, Love your hub name, and a good thing to follow through in life no doubt!  It is terrible to be addicted to food.  I believe it is at an epidemic level here in the U.S.!  Thanks for answering.

    Hi Faith

Addictions eh. Well I've got so many where would I start. I was thinking the usual suspects, you know, 20+ cups of coffee, too many cigars and then the Codine for the migraines because the docs have been saying for years that with migraines I shouldn't drink coffee, smoke cigars or spend too much time staring at computer screens.

They also said that with 3 burst discs in my back that I shouldn't work at building, maintenance, mechanics or ride motorcycles.

So in the docs opinions I should just sit in a chair a wait for the grim reaper. No bloody chance, too much of a rebel for that crap.

The other obvious addictions for me and mind that this wouldn't appeal to everyone are, petrol, diesel, two stroke motor oil, gear oil and brake fluid etc. Having drunk quite a bit of each over the years I now have a taste for them.

It's OK I already know that I need therapy.

So in a bit of seriousness the addictions that get me through the day are the things that I really can't do without and they would be the love of my life, my soul mate and my partner Suzie and of course Coco the doggy.

    Have a great day Faith.

    MJ.

Wow, Mickey-Joe, thanks for the awesome answer and parts very funny too, but very nice there, especially at the end of your answer.  Truth be told, we all have a good many addictions whether or not we choose to look at them as such!

LOL, now look who is being the silly one smile hehehe  Seriously, I love those old movies too.  They truly do not make them like that anymore!  I would respond as you do normally with your "Booyaaa" but I realized, I am not sure what it means hehehe

For me, unfortunately, food.  I'm battling that now while on Weight Watchers. It is an all-consuming craving and not about hunger for me. A constant battle.

Hi duffsmom, I hear you!  It is a constant batlle no doubt.  Mine hits me in the evenings, maybe after the stress of the day, as I will just eat to eat when not really even hungry!

      Blessings.

I also have more than one thing I could say I'm addicted to, Faith.

    (1) Chocolate (seems to be the go to for many women... lol)
    (2) Working out
    (3) Reading good books (two categories: nutrition and spirituality)
    (4) HubPages (aren't we all? lol)

Hi Abby, thanks so much for answering!  Yes, I can relate to three out of those four!  : )   And I need to be more focused on number two for sure!  Those sound like pretty healthy addictions.

I believe internet has become an addiction for all of us these days. At least, I feel a kind of incomplete and lacking something if I am not on the internet after a while, throughout the day. It has become an integral part of our lives and is growing further.

Hello myefforts, thanks for answering here.  Yes, without a doubt on the Internet!!!  It does give one to pause whether we could go a whole day without being on the Internet!  Yikes!!!

Internet is addicting especially for a hub page member.  Facebook is another addiction for me.
