Are you a cancer survivor?
If so, was there someone who inspired you? Did you make positive changes in your life after your diagnosis? For example, actress/singer Olivia Newton-John said this about her cancer scare:
"My cancer scare changed my life. I'm grateful for every new, healthy day I have. It has helped me prioritize my life."
I am a cancer survivor and yes, I made positive changes. I live a healthier lifestyle. Every day is a gift from God, and every day I give thanks for it. The people in my life are more important to me than ever before.
I'm a cancer survivor. My story is a bit complicated.
I was inspired by Suzanne Somers who stood up for her beliefs about how best to treat her cancer. I admire her strength, because so many people opposed her decision. She is alive today, and many with her same diagnosis are not.
It was the same case with me.
That said, being diagnosed with cancer broke down my marriage, and now I am a struggling single mom, trying to hold everything together. Do I appreciate life? Yes. It's still not easy.
I'm doing the best I can, trying to get over several traumatic events. Trying to help others survive toxic treatments, and move onto healthier lifestyles.

I am a cancer survivor. No one inspired me, I fought because of my child. I had to live to see him grow up.
