    Why do Politicans get huge payouts after they resign or retire?

    I think it's wrong, they get big salaries all year round, surely that's enough to set themselves up in a good retirement with the huge Superannuation they get as well! The rest of us have to why not them? One set of rules for the pollies another for the public.

    I am sorry, I am not aware of this..I do know that Presidents when they retire retain some privileges and I agree that they have to be protected even after office...after serving their term..

    It's mass corruption. The role of government is supposed to be serving the people, but politicians are working to rob us of what we work hard for and we refuse to stand up against the fact that a man can get paid over 20 grand to speak about the improving the economy.
