most importantly have a good feeling about it.,. that you will feel better, look better have more chances in the world,.. when you are slimmer
If possible have a partner to work with you. But ultimately your goal is to better your life so you must do it for you and always keep in mind that you deserve to have the benefits of healthy weight. The biggest road block to any type of self improvement is yourself you must believe you deserve it and if you believe in God understand that God wants you to have the best that life can offer and believes you deserve it as well.
Motivation alone often isn't enough. Most people want to lose weight but wanting isn't enough. Set yourself a realistic non-fat-loss oriented goal with a timeframe.

To sustain exercise is the most difficult but also the most important part of a weight loss program. To stay motivated you can try following tips:
1)Get a partner, a friend, spouse,etc.
2)Make your exercise a fun! Enjoy it.
3)Have variations in exercise pattern. Try Zumba, Pilates, Aerobics, Yoga.
4)Set small,realistic and achievable goals.
5)Reward yourself with healthy snack or a little gift on achieving small goals.
6)Train early if possible, evenings become dull.
