Which firms offer the most competitive health insurance rates?
The thing about Insurance companies is that each one has competitive rates for different types of insured. There are some who take healthy members and really give them goood rates, but someone with some preexisting conditions, can have rates that are through the roof.
The optimal way to get the best rates, and ability to manuver your insurance company is by securing a good broker and/or agent to assist you through the application process.
Like any major undertaking, that is only the start. You must have a good agent to make sure your insurance company does all of the things it is supposed to; like paying claims, and getting correspondence to you the insured promptly, and accurately.
There are companies who will only adhere to the Health Care Act changes if forced to, so really take the time and effort to shop for an agent, and check with the Insurance division of your State, for ratings, and complaints.
