I would log into your Amazon account in a different window and look for notifications. Don't trust any links that come via email.

I think it only applies if you use Amazon on your own website. HP has its own rates with Amazon.

It sounds suspicious to me; the HubPages Amazon program is not the same as Amazon Associates, so how does the sender know your HP ID?

The best thing to do is to ask Amazon direct through their website.  https://aws.amazon.com/security/report- … us-emails/

We used to have to sign up for an Associates Agreement, didn't we?

The URL of the links seemed to be genuine so I clicked on them and they brought me to my account.

I got the same email, I ignored it. I quit using Amazon in my articles a long time ago. Too much hassle for too little return.

I've linked to Amazon for hundreds of books that I've used as sources. Never made a single sale, so I wonder why I bother. There must be some sort of cognitive impairment involved. Kindly, do not respond to that last comment.
