How do you make time for yourself?

And if you do, when is your "me" time and what do you do ?

I probably would have had a difficult time answering this 10 years ago....but after retirement??    I pick and choose, arrange and re-arrange......plan, cancel and plan again...whatever ME-time I want or need....when ever and how ever I spend that time..   IT's great!!    To a degree....my time IS mine!   The "gift" after decades of hard work, duties and responsibilities.......I did my time!!
As for "daily".....very early morning when it's still dark, quiet and the coffee is fresh & strong.....that's a "SPECIAL ME-time!"    Good question!

I am semi-retired and only work one day a week so I have all the time in the world - you know I think it is overrated!

If I am really burned out, I turn off the phone, so I am not disturbed.  Sometimes, if I want "me time", I just tell people I can't go to dinner or go over to their house.  I have varied interests.  Sometimes it is just reading or crafting a project.   On days that it is not too hot outside, I spend the time with the dog exploring.

Well, it seems like these days I am challenged to do just this.  With my busy work schedule, writing and family needs it is hard to find a moment to myself.  Seems like late night just before bed or really early in the morning is best.

I find that I can make time for myself after everyone goes to bed and before everyone gets up in the morning.  As for what I do, it is simple I just breathe and pray and enjoy the calm and quiet.
