What are the most common phobias? What causes phobias?
Fear of Heights, Darkness, and loneliness will surely make it to the top 10 most common phobias. hehe
I believe it's public speaking followed by death. Hence the joke of rather being in the casket than giving the eulogy,
Causes would include past negative experiences, negative learning, and the limiting beliefs that arose from them.
Fear of the unknown as in the dark is the phobia of all phobias. Some say that is why hell is cloaked in no certainty -- so it is scarrier.

I think the most common phobia is the fear of what people think of you.
A phobia means a strong unreasonable fear of something or a particular person or thing. Some people have tendency of phobia when they are flying or fear or hatred of a particular person whom they dislike. But the most common phobia as per my view is dating some one first time who has clicked your heart.

We all have phobias without exceptions, but the question is, how do we generate them? Some people are afraid of spiders (Arachnophobia) but others don't, some are afraid of funny things like fear of number 13 (Triskaidekaphobia)! Why is that?
