What have you done in 2012 and 2013 to overcome stress?

Many are stressed for a variety of reasons: family members, jobs, money, housing, car needs repair, feeling sick and no health insurance, etc, Have you found something that helps you feel better?

I know somebody like that, say it's what keeps him going. Thanks for your answer, but I won't be trying it out...did make me laugh, so guess it did help for a minute.

    lupine,

I eat more nutrient rich foods that are low in fat yet full or flavor. I'm also getting back to weight training which is great for toning and reducing stress.

Yes, healthy eating and excercise helps balance our bodies with our minds. Thanks!

I try and get out into the woods whenever I can. A long walk through the trees, even in the mid of winter can be calming, healthy and inspiring. Now that spring is on its way walks in the woods will be even more of a de-stressing experience.

There aren't any woods around here, but I do go to the beach or park for walks, and it does help to enjoy nature. Thanks!

chef-de-jour, I'll be walking with you! Can't beat getting out and about watching nature.

I find relaxation CDs very useful, particularly Paul McKenna's Eliminate Stress. It's too easy to forget little tips and tricks you've picked up over the years. A gentle reminder is wonderful.

By distancing myself from family members. Now I only see them once every two weeks. Breathing exercises. Playing piano to calm down. But nothing beats having a great dinner with my hubby followed by a movie. He always destresses me just by walking into the room.
