I am researching bipolar disorder and am looking people to discuss this with.
I am researching bipolar disorder and am looking for others who would like to have a discussion. Is there anyone out there who can speak we me about what it is like to be bipolar? I would like to talk to people who suffer from it, employers who have bipolar employees, and mental health professionals who treat patients.
Hi Kiki. I am not a person who suffers from bipolar; however, I have a close family member who was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Since that day several years ago, I have studied about mental disorders because I am in the process of opening group homes for women who cannot support themselves. However, I find it interesting that many people are diagnosed with bipolar when they actually have symptoms of schizophrenia. It would be interesting to find that the medical professionals are using the label "bipolar" to dumb down what is really a more serious illness. What is your take on this?
I do think the term is used rather liberally. I would like to talk about this with you further. Would you mind?
I am willing to answer any questions you may have. I am a single mother who knows full well the day to day life of a person with Bipolar disorder.
