Fun, Freedom and Joy. People are looking for freedom and happiness. There are mainly two paths to receive it. The first way is in your question. That is, overcome all outside people, rules, conditions and things. By becoming wealthy and powerful, you cannot be pushed around by anybody. Nor do you have to work for others' whims for your money and survival. You can enjoy all the rewards and have as much money as you desire. The only problem with that model is, nonstop action from business, contacts, meetings, phone calls , emails,  problems, concerns and exhaustion. There are a million things to keep an eye on to maintain it. The other way to freedom is, go inside yourself. That's it. You are free to be happy now. Nothing to worry about. Nobody can stop you. Nobody's opinion of you matters. The sages say, you live in your consciousness and that is your only world, nothing else exists. You let go of all the concepts about the world. You don't pay attention to it. There is nothing to complain about. You live out you life in joy, and peacefully leave the planet when it's your time. The funny thing is, both models will have to check out in the end. And whatever they experienced in life was irrelevant. That is the cosmic irony. Most people don't realize it until the end. They are too caught up in the world, the problems, the politics, the right and wrong, the news media. These are all distractions and impermanent. Last month's turmoil and stories are irrelevant now. But this month will be loadesd with new problems, new wrongs, and new concerns. That world never stops. So the choice is, freedom within yourself or fight the world to win your freedom. lol.

Greed i think would be the "one" factor... be it in a positive or a negative form. The greed for social status and fame creates their ambition to become successful. something like that. smile
