    Honestly the only effect brand ever has on anything is how much its going to cost...

    An electric toothbrush I believe does Much more than a regular, and as for firmness it depends on your teeth and how sensitive they are.

    I use OralB , manual toothbrush, hard, medium and soft can't brush out the plaque
