    What holds you back from losing weight?

    Getting started, finding the right diet, staying with your plan, maintaining etc?

    Once you get on your diet/lifestyle of choice, sticking with it is pretty simple. It becomes a habit.

    Maintinence, however, is awful. I went from 215 down to 155 in a little over a year, and trying to keep it that way is difficult.

    I resolved to do this: if I gain more than 10 pounds, I'll work to drop them (slowly!). But if I sit at the low 160's I don't sweat it. I write it off as water weight lol.

      I think you highlight a really important point. Getting the courage and motivation to begin is one thing, maintaining, is another. Sou ds like you have a great and sustainable strategy.
