Is is true that surgical removal of adenoid can have extreme side effects?
While researching for any possible adverse effects of adenoids in kids, I found that the extremes can be as bad as asthma. Is that correct?
Not that I've heard. Mine were removed at the age of 12, with no pain and no side effects.
There are risks with any surgery, of course, but an adenoidectomy is usually problem free.
Adenoids usually shrink when a person reaches adulthood, to the best of my knowledge, although they may become infected and swell, but this isn't common.
