What do you think is more capable of defeating us? The problem itself or our opinion about it?
Interesting question. I've found and am finding out again that my opinion of a problem is usually more self defeating than the problem itself because it is so easy to give in to those negative feelings and that makes everything worse. Your thoughts affect everything you do. Might as well try to keeps positive outlook even though that is sometimes extremely hard to do.
It can be both.
There are seme situations when someone has too much power and/or resources that you cannot overcome the situation they have set you up in.
However, if you are dealing with people who are more or less operate at the same level, your attitude or approach to the problem, is what works for you and gets you through.
All the best to you.
