Search: CDC considers whether boys should get HPV vaccine
The CDC is considering whether to recommend that boys be vaccinated against HPV (learn more about the virus), not just girls. There are more than 40 strains of HPV that are transmitted through skin-to-skin contact. The most well-known strain causes genital warts. Many others strains show no obvious symptoms.
Health officials say HPV can increase a man's chances of contracting certain cancers.

Yay! Just spoke with the Merck rep and she said that as of November 2009 Gardasil is available to men. While men are mostly carriers of the infection, it is estimated up to 80% of the population will have been exposed to a strain of HPV in their lifetime. So this is great news!
